Jackson's Mansion

The nice thing about this house is that it is all functional.  We can easily live here as our renovation progress (or stall...).  The first inside room we chose to work on is a large sitting or dining room about 14 x 26.  It's not in bad shape, our intention is to change windon dressings, remove the wallpaper and millwork, and give it some fresh paint, crisp white baseboards, era suitable light fixture, and when we are ready we will re-finish the floors.  The floors will wait until other rooms are ready. 

The floor has some major dips, and I want to repair or at least stop the sinking prior to plaster and paint to avoid future cracks etc.

And so today I begin the wall paper and millwork removal - because it's raining outside....

Now here is something interesting...  My wife was informed by a local that the removed 3rd floor was placed in storage - somewhere -  when it was removed in 71.  We have a hundred other projects before we even consider the 3rd floor restoration, but it is exciting to think it may still be out there.

The playstructure is complete, the kids are smiling..  More house pics to come.
